2J Data Toolkit Change Log
7/7/15
- Version number changed to 1.2
- Added tech window with pictures, ads, and tech names
- Improved removal process by making the tool's exit exe run the backup batch file for removing tools.
- Changed usernames for toolkit to first initial last name to login per JC.
7/20/15
- Version number changed to 1.3
- Added computer name, domain name, and username to info at the bottom of toolkit.
- Changed toolkit location, and all references for it to %appdata%\Tools, so it works correctly on domain computers with no admin rights to the root of C:\.
- Added realtime live update system to login screen, the first time this will be seen / used is when 1.4 comes out, as the update system was added in 1.3 (obviously).
- Added check box to update right from login screen if an update is available.
- Added check box to uninstall toolkit right from login screen to avoid the need to login first to uninstall.
- Added a system drive type detection to show on system info screen, which informs tech whether the computer has an SSD.
- Made login button change to either "Start Update", or "Uninstall" depending on which box is checked.
- Built self calculating Next / New Version function so the tool can auto determine what the file name is for the next version, and what version # it will download when updating...
- Fixed tech window so it shows "Tech" instead of technician as it was not showing correctly, or cutting the word technician off of the tech window on some resolutions, and dPI settings.
- Updated Exit.exe (tool removal exe) to account for the tool location changes.
- Updated tech window to account for tool location changes as well.
- Removed the need for a password to use combo fix, or ADW cleaner as we do not have techs here that don't know what they are doing ; ).
8/2/15
- Version number changed to 1.4
- Integrated fully functional self update system to prompt for update on launch.
- Fixed minor bugs in java install, and tfc launch caused by typos.
9/2/15
- Version number changed to 1.5
- Fixed minor bugs in Computer, User, and Domain name section at bottom of tool as they sometimes got cutt off, but still might on low res, and or high dpi settings.
- Updated JRT download location, it seems that they sold to Malware Bytes. New location is at downloads.malwarebytes.org/tool/jrt.
9/2/15
- Version number changed to 1.6
- Removed question about stopping Managed AV when using JRT, and made tool just do it...saves time. If MAV is not on PC, the command is executed in cmd, but simply does nothing.
- Created fully automated tune up option which is activated by pressing CTRL + A while anytime tool is running (which will be tweaked, and improved soon as well).
9/17/15
- Version Number changed to 1.7.
- Fixed "already running detection". App now actually notifies user if it is already running.
- Changed hotkey for auto tune up to CTRL + T since CTRL + A is used for "select all"...oops.
- Updated exit batch file to remove more garbage on tool removal.
- Added new exit gui window (just for looks), which is displayed when removing toolkit.
- Updated 2JData Logo on main toolkit window, as well as new exit gui.
- Fixed some typos on exit batch file, and exit exe to ensure a cleaner removal.
10/9/15
- Version Number changed to 1.8.
- Changed JRT button, so it does not close cmd by iteslf after running since that was keeping Managed AV from stopping in some cases, which can cause JRT and AV to freeze the PC up.
11/18/15
- Version Number changed to 1.9.
- Changed link for reviews, which launches when removing toolkit to the new one I made on the 2J Site. (http://2jdata.com/reviews)
- Fixed link for kill switch.
2/2/16
- Version Number changed to 1.9.
- Removed link for reviews, which is no longer being used.
3/2/16
- Version Number changed to 2.1.
- Added link to get launched when closing tool, which is just a temp, and basic page at http://2jfiles.com/toolkit/complete-page.
- Made tool check for, and remove MBAM if still installed, and tech forgot to remove it.
